Warranty Policy
Effective Date: August 30, 2026
At OPVEK, we engineer high-performance sim racing hardware built for precision, durability, and relentless competition. We stand firmly behind the quality of our craftsmanship. This Limited Warranty policy outlines the coverage, terms, and procedures for OPVEK products.
1. Warranty Coverage Period
Unless otherwise specified at the time of purchase, OPVEK provides a 1-Year Limited Warranty for all hardware products (including steering wheels, telemetry displays, quick releases, control modules, and accessories) purchased directly from our official website (opvek.com) or authorized distributors.
- Hardware & Electronics (e.g., DDU Displays, Hubs, PCBs): 1-Year Limited Warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.
- Mechanical Components & CNC Parts (e.g., Knobs, Casings): 1-Year Limited Warranty against structural failures under normal operating conditions.
- Cables & Accessories: 30-Day Replacement Warranty for out-of-box failures or dead-on-arrival (DOA) issues.
Note: The warranty period begins strictly from the date of delivery to the original end-user purchaser.
2. What is Covered?
Our limited warranty covers defects that arise under normal use and are directly attributable to manufacturing or material flaws. Covered issues include:
- Internal electronic component failures or circuit board malfunctions.
- Failure of display screens, LEDs, or integrated Pogo pin modules not caused by external physical damage.
- Structural defects in CNC-machined parts that impair proper installation or assembly on standard sim racing rigs.
3. What is NOT Covered?
The OPVEK Limited Warranty does not apply to damage, wear, or malfunctions resulting from:
- Misuse and Abuse: Accidental drops, impacts, excessive force applied to buttons/knobs, or operating the hardware outside of specified electrical/environmental parameters.
- Unauthorized Modifications: Unauthorized disassembly, custom firmware flashing that results in bricking, soldering modifications, or third-party hardware tampering.
- Normal Wear and Tear: Cosmetic scratches, surface scuffs, wear on rubberized or anodized finishes resulting from intensive daily sim racing use.
- Improper Installation: Damage caused by incorrect wiring, mismatched voltage inputs, or improper mounting on third-party bases/rigs.
- Force Majeure: Damage caused by acts of God, power surges, floods, fires, or extreme environmental conditions.
4. Warranty Remedy & Process
If a covered defect is found during the warranty period, OPVEK will, at its sole discretion:
- Repair the product using new or refurbished replacement parts.
- Replace the product with an equivalent functioning unit.
- Issue a partial or full refund if repair or replacement is unfeasible.
How to file a claim: To initiate a warranty claim, please contact our support team at support@opvek.com with your Shopify order number, a detailed description of the issue, and clear photos or a short video demonstrating the defect.
5. Shipping Costs for Warranty Service
During the first 30 days following delivery, OPVEK will cover reasonable return shipping costs for verified out-of-box failures. After 30 days, the customer is responsible for shipping the defective item to our designated regional service hub (such as our US or EU collection centers), while OPVEK will cover the cost of shipping the repaired or replacement unit back to the customer.
